Hanson Paving wasn’t starting from scratch. Before coming to Leighton Media, they were already investing in radio and digital advertising. However, brand awareness remained limited to a relatively small, familiar footprint, largely driven by their radio presence.

Their digital efforts were underperforming expectations, and the business had more operational capacity than its market reach could support. To grow, particularly in commercial paving, they needed to reach a broader audience and establish a more consistent presence.

The Solution

In 2021, Hanson Paving partnered with Leighton Media to expand both their radio advertising and digital strategy through Leighton Engage. Working with Bret Bagley on radio and Andrew DeVall on digital, the team developed a local marketing approach designed to keep Hanson Paving consistently visible across the channels their customers actively use.

The focus was on consistency and community presence, not short-term campaigns, but a sustained effort to remain top of mind in the markets they wanted to serve.

Since 2021, Hanson Paving has approximately doubled in size, with annual sales growth of about 15%. Their service area has expanded, and commercial work continues to grow. According to Jeff Hanson, the partnership has played a key role in that progress.
